two+seven: Where does the name ‘Novis’ come from?
Jordana Warmflash: My dad’s mother’s maiden name (and my dad’s middle name)!
2+7: You’ve worked with big names like Zac Posen, Peter Som, and Alice + Olivia (to name a few). What did you learn from these designers? How did it help you in the creation of your own collection?
JW: I’ve learned so much over the years from the various companies and people I’ve worked for and with – I am so grateful! The two most important things I’ve learned is to be detailed oriented and confident in my vision.
2+7: Your collection is very feminine and elegant. What has drawn you to this aesthetic?
JW: I think I was supposed to live in the ’50s and ’60s! I’ve always been drawn to the classic silhouettes from that era, they are very flattering, elegant and timeless.

2+7: What’s it like to see your designs on celebrities?
JW: Very exciting!
2+7: Do you have a favorite piece(s)?
JW: Probably from Fall 2012 – The Cha Cha… I have new favorites in my Spring 2013 collection!
2+7: What’s next?
JW: We’ve introduced separates in the Spring 2013 collection, which we’re really excited about!
