Nothing says friendship quite like an armful of eclectic handmade bracelets, right? Right! What our fellow blogger the Man Repeller lovingly refers to as ‘arm candy,’ these stackable, mix-and-matchable friendship bracelets are hotter than ever right now. And guess what? You can make them yourself! Don’t let the summer camp flashbacks deter you from crafting your own: it’s fun, easy, and beats dropping over a hundo for one of these. Add some elegance, sophistication and maturity by mixing and matching metals with your pastel embroidery threads.

Check out some of our favorite renditions with a little DIY tutorial from one of our favorite blogs, Honestly WTF.
And if you’re feeling crafty, here’s our step-by-step rendition of this season’s hottest trend:
You will need:
chain link bracelet
embroidery thread or thin fabric ribbon
a little bit of patience!
DIY:
- Choose your colors and loop your thread so it is more than one strand. Choose your desired thickness– this also depends on the size of your chain links and how bold you want to go.
- Knot the top of your threads together at one end of your chain link bracelet
- Loop the threads (both colors together) through each link, going over top each time.
- Knot the end, trim, and wear!

What could be better on a lazy summer afternoon than lying in the grass under a tree listening to some tunes and making a friendship bracelet? This collection of free friendship bracelet patterns will definitely help you get started on this easy past-time even if youve never made anything in your life. ..Friendship bracelets are not like other bracelets which are worn as a fashion accessory…They are special bracelets given from one friend to another as a symbol of friendship…According to indigenous tradition the recipient of a friendship bracelet must wear it until the cords wear out and fall off naturally…Removing the bracelet before it naturally falls off is a sign that the friendship has gone sour.
